In case there is anyone reading this who didn't see the post on's true!

We're having a baby!

I didn't want to leave anyone out of the loop who may not be on Facebook and jump right into blogging about pregnancy without making an announcement on here first (:

We are so thrilled with the news! Both Jason and I love kids and have talked LOTS about having a family of our own. And now here we are! Krahn party of 3 in the making! (:

We are SO blessed and we are feeling the love from friends and family from all over the country congratulating us and praying over us and our little one.

As with any exciting news, people are curious and have questions (:
So I thought I would take this post as an opportunity to answer some of the questions I have been asked since announcing our news to our friends and family! (:

Your questions, answered!

When are you due?
My official due date is March 28th, 2015.
With the 28th being close to the end of March, we have been telling people (as seen in the picture above) that the baby will be here by Easter, instead of saying the baby will be here in March. You just never know. But the baby should be here by Easter with it falling on April 5th this coming year. Plus, having Easter so close to my due date just made it really easy to make themed announcements for our immediate family and our parents. I'll be blogging on how we announced the news to our parents and family in the weeks to come! (:

How far along are you?
As of today, September 24th, I am 13 weeks and 5 days along.

How are you feeling?
The short story: I'm feeling pregnant.
From about 6-9 weeks along, I was feeling nauseous all day, every day. I also had no energy at all and needed to take naps every day on top of sleeping a sound 8 hours every night. Good grief. I'm not a big fan of being stuck in bed all day, but there's no excuse like the first trimester of pregnancy to binge-watch Desperate Housewives.

Since about 10 weeks along, my energy has returned for the most part and the nauseous feeling that lasted all day long toward the beginning has subsided. Don't get me wrong, I'm still getting sick every other day on average, but at least I'm not feeling queasy I try to remember that feeling this way is for a good reason! (:

How did you tell Jason?
...Honestly, he knew before I did.
 One weekend, we had tried out a new recipe for dinner. It ended up making both of us feel a little funny for some reason. The next day I sent him a text asking if he was still feeling sick from dinner the night before. "No." Well that's weird, because I was. Smells started getting to me, and I started feeling extremely tired for no reason. The week went on and I still felt sick. "You're pregnant", he kept telling me. I guess I just didn't want to get my hopes up since there had been a couple times before where I thought maybe, but it turned out to be nothing. So I was in a bit of a state of denial, I suppose, just to avoid getting excited only to have it turn out to be the flu or something. Well, when he got home from work that Friday, I had already bought a test. I told him it would be best if I took the test in the morning (more effective that way) and then this way...I would be taking the test on his birthday. That's right! We found out the baby news on his birthday (: That was really special for us! So we found out at the same time, although he "already knew" (;

How did you react when you found out?
I was very excited!
But then there was also this deep, sobering, sinking realization that I would be pushing out something the size of a football 9 months from then. No big deal. Not freaked out about that part at all. Ha.
Said no woman ever.

How did he react?
He was very excited!
See, he doesn't have to worry about the football-pushing part of it.
Joking aside, he doesn't like seeing me in pain so I know it won't be a walk in the park for him either.
...But he still doesn't have to push out a football. Let's not forget that.

How did your parents react?
Both our parents were thrilled with the news! My parents will be first-time grandparents with this baby. They seem to be very excited and I can't wait for them to meet their new grand baby!

Are you finding out if it's a boy or a girl?
Yes!! All power to the people who can live through the wait until their baby is born to find out, but I need to know! I live by to-do lists, sticky notes, and highlighters so you know the nursery will be done months in advance before the baby gets here. As soon as we find out if it's a boy or a girl, I plan on getting the nursery set up right away! I've already told Jason we will have to make a trip to Minneapolis to get everything we need for baby. I'm really looking forward to that! (:

What about twins? Triplets?
We would both love to have multiples! They say that when twins run on the mother's side of the family, it increases the chance of the mother having twins. Well, twins do run in my family, and on my mom's side at that! I've always wanted twins and I would be totally thrilled if we had them (:

Well, those are the questions I've been asked so far for now!
I will also be doing weekly "bumpdate" interviews here on my blog, answering questions and posting pictures as the pregnancy progresses! I have one that will be posted this week for weeks 12 and 13. See you then! (:
